School Bus Doors Frozen Shut

Children were left waiting in this morning’s frigid temperatures after some school bus drivers were delayed from starting their routes by frozen bus doors, according to WKRN.  The weekend’s rain followed by a rapidly dropping temperature caused the rubber seals on many of Nashville’s school buses to freeze shut.  The school system’s spokesman, Joe Bass, offered a few suggestions to parents, ranging from the obvious (“dress your child warmly”) to the odd (“stay in the car at the bus stop if possible”) — who drives to the bus?
