Nashville Annual Homeless Count

Teresa reports that tonight is the annual homeless count in Nashville.  Starting sometime around now, they’ll be out canvassing the streets until 3 o’clock in the morning.

The numbers from the streets (typically 200-350 this time of year) are combined with the counts from local shelters.  In the past several years, the Metro Housing and Development Agency reports, the total number of Nashville homeless in late January is around 2,300 people.
