The Nashville Farmer’s Market put out a helpful poster on where to park one’s car in light of the recent parking problem. But do you notice an issue with this map? It doesn’t show where to catch the bus or park a bike (or pick up a B-Cycle):
Pro tips for @nashfarmmarket parking. Pleased to see lot of @NashvilleBcycle. And @Nashville_MTA circ runs on Sat. pic.twitter.com/R1y8S43IAL

To its credit, the farmer’s market has been promoting the use of alternative forms of transit (including walking, ride-sharing apps, and those annoying tourist “trolleys”). Take for instance this tweet, this tweet, or this blog post. The problem is that this particular poster presents parking personal vehicles as the only solution. Every communication should make mention of all the alternatives to driving.
Now, if we could just get the MTA to run more frequent weekend service.
