Practice Safe Text

If you drive on highways in Nashville, and your head isn’t buried in your cell phone, you may see one of the winning messages from TDOT’s contest on the dynamic message boards above your head.

Though any of the finalists could be used on the boards, the top five are:

  1. “Turn signals, the original instant messaging.”
  2. “Get the cell off your phone and drive.”
  3. “Practice safe text. Don’t do it while driving.”
  4. “You’re in Tennessee. Volunteer to drive safe.”
  5. “Ain’t nobody got time for a wreck. Slow it down.”

Sadly, none of the winning entries included the word “y’all.”
